Welcome to SKYLIGHT TOURS AND TRAVEL, These Terms of Use (“Terms“) apply to your access to and use of the website, mobile application, and other online products and services (collectively, our “Services“) provided by SKYLIGHT TOURS & TRAVEL. (“Skylight tours & travel,” “we,” “us” or “our“). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with SKYLIGHT TOURS & TRAVEL for products, services, or otherwise. Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in the singular or the plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:
Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to SKYLIGHT TOURS & TRAVEL, Zanzibar.
Cookies are small files that are placed on Your computer, mobile device, or any other device by a website, containing the details of Your browsing history on that website among its many uses.
Country refers to Tanzania
Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone, or a digital tablet.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the Website.
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service, or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
The website refers to Skylight tours, accessible from skylighttours.co.tz
You mean the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
Client means You
Participant means You
A month means 30 days
Day of Departure means a day you start a day Tour, Safari, Transfer, or Package.
Tour means day activities or Multiday activities in Zanzibar
Safaris mean day activities in Tanzania’s Mainland
Transfer means transport from one point to another using our cars in Zanzibar
Package means collections of any day tours, hotels, Transfers, and Safaris with one fixed price.
Booking Confirmation: For Day Tours, Multiday Tours, or Transfers
- For any Transfer, Day Tour, or Multi–Day Tour to be confirmed, you will need to provide a non-refundable 20% of the total price.
- Full payment / remaining balance of 80% needs to be settled 16 days prior to the day of activity.
- A copy of the successful payment is required as proof of the payment.
Booking Confirmation: For Packages
- For any Package to be confirmed, you will need to provide a non-refundable 20% of the total price.
- Full payment / remaining balance of 80% needs to be settled 70 days prior to the day of arrival.
- A copy of the successful payment is required as proof of the payment.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: For Day Tours, Multiday Tours, and Transfers
Cancellation by participant (Client):
Cancellations must be made in writing (through our official e-mail) at info@skylighttours.co.tz, and take effect when you receive an email confirmation of your cancellation from us (Skylight Tours & Travel).
Refunds will be made on the following basis:
- More than 15 days prior to the day of activity: Full refund
- 15 days prior to the date of service: 20% of the total amount due.
- 6 – 14 days prior to departure: 35% of the total amount due.
- 3 – 5 days prior to departure: 50% of the total amount due.
Cancellation by us (Skylight Tours & Travel):
Skylight Tours & Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour due to low enrollment, inability to operate the tour, or due to concerns about the safety, health, or welfare of participants.
If a tour is canceled prior to departure, participants will receive a full refund of the money paid.
Cancellation by us (Skylight Tours & Travel) while the tour is in progress:
- We will provide participants (clients) a pro-rated refund based on the activities not completed on the tour. If a participant elects to leave a tour in the progress of their own volition, the participant will not receive any refund.
- If a participant were delayed or if for any reason you are prevented from joining the tour on the scheduled departure date and/or time we will only refund 10% of the money paid.
- If a participant chooses to leave the tour early, we cannot provide a full or partial refund for a future tour.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: For Packages
Cancellation by participant (Client):
Cancellations must be made in writing (through our official e-mail) at info@skylighttours.co.tz, and take effect when you receive an email confirmation of your cancellation from us (Skylight tours & travel).
Refunds will be made on the following basis:
- More than 70 days; Deposit only (20%)
- More than 57 days; 50% of holiday cost
- More than 42 days; 75% of holiday cost
- Less than 42 days; 100% of holiday cost
Cancellation by us (Skylight tours & travel):
Skylight Tours & Travel reserves the right to cancel any package due to the inability to operate the package or due to concerns about the safety, health, or welfare of participants.
If a package is canceled prior to departure, participants will receive a full refund of the money paid.
Cancellation by us (Skylight tours & Travel) while the tour is in progress:
- We will provide participants (clients) a pro-rated refund based on the days or activities not completed on the packages. If a participant elects to leave a package in the progress of their own volition, the participant will not receive any refund.
- If a participant were delayed or if for any reason you are prevented from joining the Safari on the scheduled departure date and/or time we will only refund 10% of the money paid.
- If a participant chooses to leave the Safari early, we cannot provide a full or partial refund toward a future Safari.
Children Policy: For Day Tours, Multiday Tours & Transfers

- 1 – 4 Years: Free
- 5 – 10 Years: 50% of the adult price
- 11 – 14 Years: 75% of the adult price
- 15 and above: Full adult price
Children Policy: For Packages

- 1 – 2 Years: Free
- 3 – 7 Years: 50% of the adult price
- 8 – 12 Years: 75% of the adult price
- 13 and above: Full adult price
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SKYLIGHT TOURS & TRAVEL and its licensors.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is a material we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
